Character Profile: Seeker

Seeker was a Rare Hunter whom stole Joey's Red Eyes Black Dragon when Seeker and some other Rare Hunters ambushed Joey on his way to see how Serenity was doing at the hospital. Joey swore revenge on the Rare Hunter.

While in the Battle City Tournament, Joey and Yugi met up with Seeker. Joey challenged him, but Seeker refused and decided to duel Yugi for his Dark Magician card. Seeker's almost unstoppable and hidden strategy was using multiple Exodia-parts, which he marked.

Joey tried to warn Yami of the deception, but Seeker exclaimed that he would tear up the Red Eyes if Joey told. Yami eventually figured it out on his own, and with an array of cards preventing Seeker from summoning Exodia, he destroyed the Exodia and won the duel, earning his first locator card and destroying the cheater's marked cards.

Marik, who had no tolerance for failure, took over Seeker's body, revealing his name to Yugi before "punishing" Seeker. Joey told Yugi he would help him defeat Marik and that Yugi could keep the Red Eyes for the time being.

Seeker's Name

In the anime, this character in only ever referred to as "Rare Hunter". The name Seeker is revealed in the videogame Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories.
