Character Description: King Kai
If you ever manage to get all the way to the end of Snake Way, you'll come across a tiny little planet. This is the home of King Kai, rumored to be the greatest martial arts instructor there is. Trouble is, he's in the NEXT dimension, which means you have to die first.
Goku was the first student the teacher has had in a long time, and though Goku is curious at first about the unusual lessons King Kai poses him with, it pays off as Goku gains the power of Kaoken and the Spirit Bomb, both key factors in stopping Vegeta's attack on Earth.
King Kai and Goku maintain a mental bond despite being a dimension apart, and he warns Goku about Freeza, demanding he stay away. Of course, Goku doesn't take that advice (he acted the same way when fighting Vegeta on Earth), but once again, King Kai finds himself not needing to worry. It all comes out fine.
King Kai's planet was destroyed at the end of the Cell Saga.
