Character Profile: Whippy

Whippy is, like his name suggests, a monster who carries a whip. He appears as a clown with a fanged smile who also likes to juggle bottles, balls, and spiked balls. His attacks mainly involve cracking his whip, grabbing enemies with it, and slamming them around with it.

He was sent to help King Dedede tame the kind and gentle monster Phanphan, who was previously running amok in Cappy Town scaring the Cappies. He hitched a ride there from inside Dedede's limousine and successfully did his job by electrifying Phanphan with the electricity flowing in his whip.

Afterwards, he rode on his head, chasing after Kirby with a constant attack of Phanphan's endless supply of spiked balls from his trunk. Poor Kirby didn't get a chance to fight back until Meta Knight showed up and helped Kirby out, after which Kirby inhaled one of those spiked balls and became Throw Kirby. Kirby then proceeded to dodge the spiked balls until he was grabbed by Whippy's whip and slammed into the ground a few times. Luckily, he unraveled the whip around his foot and inhaled Whippy, and grabbed him and tossed him into Cappy Town's circle's tree a few times before throwing him out of Popstar with his Tornado Throw.
