Character Profile: Patina

Patina is a witch who owns a shop called the Rusty Broom. She sells magic items for people, and the first episode shows her as a human selling a necklace. However, when Dorie came, and said what she is... well, like the English opening says, "This old witch is mean and green. Meanest witch you ever did see."

Patina turns into a green blob because "You said that she was a witch in front of her face" (Patina's fairy, Lala, tells Dorie this). Now Patina has to train Dorie to become a witch so she can be back to normal. Patina can be seen flying on a dustpan. Also she gets mad when Dorie, and her two friends changed the shop on her while getting more spell drops.

Patina is the witch who is the owner of the DoReMi Magic Shop (formerly known as the Rusty Broom Magic Shop). She trains Dorie, Reanne, and Mirabelle in their apprenticeship.

It was Dorie who turned Patina into a small green blob called a majo-gaeru by calling her a witch, so now the only one who can return Patina to her true form is Dorie herself. Patina easily gets mad, and poor Dorie is often the target of her frustration.
