Character Description: Flannery Moore
Flannery is the granddaughter of the current Lavaridge Town gym leader. Flannery was put in charge of the gym because he was more interested in Pokemon Poetry. Flannery was not ready for position of gym leader unfortunately, and even worse, Ash arrives only three days after her approval. But luckily, due to earlier lessons with her grandpa, she was ready to take on Ash. Ash had big time trouble getting through Toarkoal's Iron Defense, but in the end, Ash wins the match and is awarded the Heat Badge.
Flannery's specialty is Fire-Type Pokemon and, like Whitney, her signature color red shows her love for Fire-Type Pokemon.
Flannery is best friends with Fortree City Gym Leader Winona.
