Character Description: Himeko Nayotake
Himeko is a young girl that seems to have fallen in love with Kakeru. She and Kakeru are both Astronomers that dream of going into outer space. She seems to think that Kakeru's ideas are somewhat ridiculous, and he gets upset when she says that. His newest idea is that he saw Princess Snow Kaguya.
She wants to spend time with Kakeru, but ever since he found Kaguya's ice crystal (which drains his life energy), he has rejected her. While Kakeru is ill, she asks if she can stay with him for the week, but he says no since his ideas are completely different from hers. Kakeru finally shouts "No!! It's over!!!", And poor Himeko runs out the door sobbing.
She ends up going to outer space and thinking how Kakeru is missing all this. She sees a comet and believes that "Could it be? Princess Snow Kaguya really exists?"
In the end, Kakeru and Himeko make up in an embrace at Narita Airport.
