Man, I can't wait for fiber optic internet to reach Redding. Right now we're on DSL, and during the summer we have constant and frequent disconnects. Sometimes it will re-connect right away, while other times it can take hours. Sometimes it works fine all day, sometimes it'll disconnect once or twice, and sometimes it will disconnect continually, all day long. It can be extremely frustrating. We had an AT&T tech guy come out to the house on Thursday (originally scheduled for Friday, but he called to say he has some free time) to check out the wiring, but all his instruments said everything ran fine. I suppose it could be the modem, but it's located in a well ventilated area away from other electronic, it doesn't get hot, and it has never been abused, so I have my doubts.
Everyone have a nice three-day weekend? We had originally planned to go check out some movies, but ended up playing Earth Defense Force 2 almost the entire weekend. We're almost to 90% complete, and I'm not ashamed to admit that I really don't know how we're going to beat several of those stages on the Inferno setting. The weapons we have just don't see adequate enough to accomplish the task, yet the game isn't giving us any new one. So right now we're doing some "armor-farming" to build up our hit points, but I'm thinking it's going to take more than a lot of HP to conquer these stages.
