I beat TMNT II: The Arcade Game (NES)! After beating the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the NES I decided to tackle its sequel, which I also owned as a kid. This is the Ninja Turtles game everyone had been waiting for, with 2-player co-op action just like in the arcade, and it was awesome. Sadly, in this specific playthrough I took a lot of avoidable hits and died a few times unnecessarily. Pretty much all my previous playthroughs were better, making it to the end bosses either without dying or dying at most once. This time around it was late and I was tired and frustrated from failing three previous attempts. It was my last attempt of the night and I didn't expect to win but somehow beat both Krang and Shredder. Check out my other videogame playthroughs.

I beat Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles(NES)! Finally beat the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the NES! This is one tough game! I loved this game as a kid but don't think I ever actually made it past that near-impossible hallway leading to Shredder. This time around I loaded up every turtle with 99 scrolls to give me a fighting chance and they were invaluable. Props to those who can beat it without sub-weapons, you all are masters! I beat Super Dodge Ball (NES)! After the intensity of TMNT (NES) I wanted to play a much easier game. I know I played this before when I was a kid but don't really remember it at all other than it not being very difficult. Seeing my first match will make it obvious that I had no idea what I was doing, and yet somehow I ended up beating it on my first go. I still don't fully understand this game. Sometimes my guys throw these powerful balls that glow and sometimes they don't. Sometimes I can catch the ball and sometimes I can't. Sometimes my out-of-bounds guys will toss me back the ball and sometimes they toss it to the other team. And then which guy I'm controlling seems to switch around at random. Sometimes it's the guy closest to the ball and sometimes it's not. I really don't get this game. Check out my other videogame playthroughs.

I beat Double Dragon (NES)! First time beating this game. It's not one I owned as a kid, only played it over at my friend Chris Bailey's house. Definitely not an easy one, having only 3 lives with no continues and no health drops, plus the stupid random stalactites which killed me on multiple occasions. But finally made it through! I beat Donkey Kong (NES)! I know this game is more about replaying all the stages over and over to get a high score, but I only got to play it briefly when I was a kid and was never even able to rescue the princess once. I beat Altered Beast (Sega Genesis)! This game came with my Sega Genesis which I believe I got in 1990 so I've played it a lot. It's a short game and not too difficult but it still took me several hours to make it all the way through in one piece. Check out my other videogame playthroughs.

I beat Batman (NES)! Started playing this game a week ago and it's really fun but definitely a challenging game. I think the Joker is one of the harder bosses I've ever faced. Took me many, many tries to figure out his pattern. This is my second playthrough as my first was done in chunks throughout the week and wasn't recorded. Check out my other videogame playthroughs.

I beat Jaws (NES)! This is my first time beating Jaws (NES). It's a surprisingly short game with very simple gameplay and almost no variety. Still took me quite a while and a lot of frustration to get to the point where I could beat it. Check out my other videogame playthroughs.

I beat Castlevania (NES)! This was my second time beating this game, with the first time being the day prior to this which I didn't record as I had been working on it for like a week. My second playthrough went quicker but still longer than I would have wanted. It's not a game I had as a kid, I only played it at my friend's in the late 80s.
