Character Profile: Bardock

Goku's father appears in a special edition movie that tells of how Goku got to Earth. When Bardock's team is destroyed by Frieza's men, he seeks revenge and tries to kill Frieza, but ends up losing as Frieza destroys planet Vegeta and its inhabitants. Well, all except for Goku, Prince Vegeta, Nappa, Broly, and Raditz.

Bardock is a warrior mentioned several times in the serious. He is also in the movie Dragon Ball Z: Bardock- Father of Goku. He is attacked and nearly killed with his crew going against one of Frieza's elite forces. While he tries to escape, he keeps receiving visions from beings he can't explain.

He seeks help back at planet Vegeta, but is laughed at. He instead fights Frieza's army by himself. He manages to beat the rest of his army but is killed by Frieza's Death Ball attack. At the end he sees the rest of his son Goku's life. He regrets not leaving to Earth to be with Goku, but finds out that Goku kills Frieza.

He is praised by Vegeta as being a great scientist, and invented the False Moon technique.
