Character Description: Lyserg Diethel
Lyserg is really cute. He puts himself down a lot, saying he's weak. When he was looking for 'strong partners', he came across Yoh, Ren, Ryu, and Horo Horo. He wanted to team up with them.
Ryu thought he was a girl at first, and he thought he was hot or whatever. Ryu took him to Yoh, and Lyserg was totally freaked out, and hurt Horo Horo and Ren. Yoh slapped him and told him that partners don't hurt each other. Lyserg is determined to kill Hao, because Hao killed his mother and father when he was six, and he is all alone now.
When he sees that Yoh looks a lot like Hao, he gets all weird. And teams up with the X-Laws because they want to kill Hao too.
His spirit is Chloe (Morphin in the Japanese version, which is a play on the word "Morphine"), and she loves to eat sweet stuff.
Note: One fan pointed out that the name Lyserg Diethel might be a play on "lysergic acid diethylamide" (also known as LSD), a hallucinogen found in the fungus ergot, and used by some shamans to see beyond the physical world.
Note: In episode 28 (according to the subtitles), Lyserg is revealed to have been 6 years old when he recieved Morphin, and later in the the same episode it's said that the Shaman Tournament was 8 years in the future. This would make Lyserg 14 years old.
