Character Description: Mistress Nine
When the Tau Nebula invaded our dimension through the interdimensional gateway Dr. Tomoe had inadvertently made, Hotaru was made into a vessel to hold a sleeping Daimon: a herald of destruction. By devouring the pure heart of Rini [Chibi-Usa], Mistress Nine is finally able to awaken.
Though known as the Sovereign [Messiah] of Silence, she is in fact a herald. Her mission is to find the Purity Chalice [Holy Grail] and give its power to her true master: Pharaoh 90. With the power the Chalice possesses, Pharaoh 90 can enter our dimension and erase all good.
So Mistress Nine draws Sailor Moon into her chamber and pretends to be Hotaru, pleading for the Purity Chalice. Though Uranus and Neptune plead Sailor Moon not to do it, Sailor Moon gives her the Chalice...which she then converts into energy for Pharaoh 90.
Unknowingly, however, that was Mistress Nine's undoing. Hotaru's spirit was still in that body. Seeing the situation turn desperate, Hotaru made the one move she thought she'd never do: accept the duty of Sailor Saturn. By becoming Sailor Saturn, she destroys Mistresss Nine from within her.
