Posted the character profile of Isley (from Claymore). I apologize for the lack of updates recently. Working on the admin control panel for my new commenting system has kept me pretty busy, but I happy to find that the system has been working well. There are still a few more things I want to do with the admin area, and I would also like to integrate the forum user accounts, but overall I am very happy with it.
Have you seen the new Star Trek movie yet? Normally we would have done the midnight showing on opening night, but lucky for us they actually did a 7PM showing, so we went to that one. And we were surprised about how uncrowded it was. Not that the theater was empty or anything, but had we entered when the previews started rather than an hour before hand, we still would have been able to get good seats. I guess that time slot wasn't too well known, because after the film was over and we exited the theater we saw the expected long lines for the midnight showing. So that in itself made it a good night. And the movie? Well, that made it a great night, because it was fantastic. I actually think we'll probably go see it again before it leaves theaters, and am seriously looking forward to the sequel. Next up on the list of movies to catch in the theater is Terminator Salvation... so this weekend we decided to refresh our memories and watch the first three Terminator films. The first is still my favorite, but they are all enjoyable movies. Let's hope the new one continues with that.

Posted my review of X-Men Volumes 1 & 2. Implemented a new commenting system, which I'm currently testing on the review pages. I've spent pretty much all of the last two weeks working on it, which is why there has been a lull in updates. If it works out, I hope to expand it to most of the other pages on the site.
Last night we finally made it out to see X-Men Origins: Wolverine. We were originally going to see the midnight showing, but then pushed it back to Saturday morning, which became Saturday night, which morphed into Sunday morning... yeah, we didn't really have a whole lot of motivation this weekend for some reason. I went in with low expectations due to all the negative reviews, and that really helped out. There were definitely some plot issues, and a whole lot of suspension of reality, but it was still fun.
A couple weeks ago, my wife and I went out to see a Pink Floyd laser show with one of her friends, who was a big Pink Floyd fan. I'd have to say that I am not really a fan, but was hoping to enjoy it anyway. Unfortunately, all four of us found it extremely boring. There were a few laser effects that were pretty neat and a few good songs, but mostly it was like watching a screen saver for several hours while listening some very long and dull songs. The best part was the intermission, where they started playing AC/DC, Depeche Mode, and other more enjoyable music. Even Treese's friend asked during the intermission if we wanted to leave. Sorry, I know it may be boring, but we dropped money on these tickets, so we're staying 'till the bitter end!
