In this exciting all-new full-length adventure, which is actually five original Japanese episodes dubbed and then fused together, it's a union of new friends and enemies as well as old allies and foes. Kirby and the people of Dreamland survive an attack by a fleet of Destrayers that turn Cappy Town into a sea of flames. They are then introduced by Meta Knight to his secret ship he's been working on building since he came to Dreamland: the Halberd. This should be familiar to people who played Kirby Superstar's Revenge of Meta Knight.

Soon, everyone embarks on an adventure into outer space where they meet new friends like Sir Arthur, as well as old allies such as Kit Cosmos, Sirica, and Knuckle Joe. They also battle fantastic monsters both new and old. Finally, when the Halberd is severely damaged in an attack by Nightmare, everyone makes it to the headquarters for Nightmare Enterprises. And when everyone infiltrates the headquarters, all Kirby has to do is rescue his crush, Tiff, from the clutches of Nightmare (since he grabs and abducts her after everyone intrudes into the headquarters), defeat the dark force of N.M.E.'s diabolical mindscape, and save the universe. Can he do it?
